The original Twisted Thistle mallet is one of the world’s most “titled” designs in the pipe band world. It is our namesake.
The curved mallet head provides an even point-of-contact on the drumhead over a wide range of playing motion. The result is a deep, powerful, and warm fundamental tone over a wide dynamic range. The new Classic design is lighter and has an improved balance thanks to a new firm center core. The mallet shaft is lathe-turned sugar-maple and is designed for playing comfort and maximum stick control.
