The National Piping Centre's Tutor Book Volume 1, including CD-Rom, is a very detailed publication that is great for adolescent and adult beginners. This book introduces music theory and the basic repetoir of "light music", using clear directions, good exercises and good beginner tunes. The CD-Rom includes step by step demonstration, printable music and exercises, and can also be used as a CD for audio only.
